Edinburgh to ban pavement parking

Anyway - enough bickering about public transport.  Edinburgh is far from perfect but its a zillion % better than most places I would think we can agree

Can we just shoot pavement parkers?

Our last house had roads plenty wide to park on, but some twonks would still park up on the pavement.

We have this. I will never understand.

I walk past this whenever I go into town and each time I go round it with the buggy I hate the owner a little more.parking

all buses terminate at princes street 🙂 or that you cannot get a bus to anywhere bar princes street from any of the park and rides.

I did not say either of those things. You are not right all of the time despite what you think. From most if not all of the "park and rides" you can get to the centre of Edinburgh, IE Princes Street. Some buses will cross it, some will go along it. From my recollection of living near York, their system did the same, took you to or near the city centre.

Aye - I get what you mean now.  Its just your statement could be read in other ways.  I quoted it above.  Usual limitations of text based stuff

For the pedants.

From Newcraighall get a train to Waverley or a 30 bus to Princess St.

From Sherrifhall a 33 bus to Princes St.

From Straiton an X62 which crosses Princes St at the Mound.

From Hermiston there are at least two buses to Princes St. I'm not doing everything for you.

From Ingliston, again several options, all of which probably take you to or near Princes St but now I'm losing the will to live.

There is not a terminus on Princes St and some buses go elsewhere, I'm not the internet Mr Google is your friend.

They're not perfect but Edinburgh buses are alright, it's not a big city, it's a nice place to walk too. People are arseholes, see also supermarket car parks and people taking up two spaces or parking in disabled bays. I'm done now.
