I'm selling a couple of things on ebay for the first time and I've now got people emailing me asking for a price if I sell it to them now a few days before the auctions end. What's the done thing in this situation?

the generally accepted technique is to tell them to swivel.

ignore them.

You could ask a silly price to end early, especially if there are no bids yet. Personally, I think it's unfair on people who are doing the right thing and bidding.

Unless they live round the corner let the auction run.
Most Ebayers will bid in the last few minutes and you will get a higher price ( most of the time )

I use the words
"Make me an offer...."
more polite than **** off but seems to have the same effect.
