I just had two sales pulled for breaching a policy.

The breach? Syrian currency is banned. Apparently there is an embargo of syrian items.

Despite the fact these are from 1944. Surely thats long enough, its hardly doing syria any good if i sell them.

It'll be bot driven most likely, you might get a successful appeal or you might not.

It's crap but it's their house, their rules.

I was trying to buy a bike a wee while ago, and the chap I was discussing it with said he'd had quite a few problems listing his Cannondale Scalpel because of their ban on knives.

There's some on there now so they've changed something

Its not worth thegrief to appeal.

I'd argue tha the country Republique Syrienne hasn't existed since 1958.

Does anyone want 15 piastres?

On the contrary it would be madness to pay people to look into such trivial items rather than applying a blanket rule. And depending on how the laws are written it may not be eBay’s fault at all.

I know, i think its a us gov embargo. But it doesn't mention syria anywhere in my listing ?

Its not a big deal just a mild pain in the bum.
