Went to switch the DVD player on at the weekend only to discover that the lightning the other week had fried it so I am in the market for a new one. Does anybody have any recommendations? We only use it to watch occasional films from lovefilm, maybe a couple of times a month at best.
We have an old fashioned CRT TV which is starting to show signs of its age. Now and again it self adjusts the volume. Its quite old so I am expecting to have to replace that quite soon too if that makes any difference.
I'd be tempted to invest in in Blu-ray player if you're going to be changing the TV in the near future too.
See if you can get a free Blu ray player with a new TV. That's what I did. Make sure you get one or the other hooked up to your internet connection too, so you can access LoveFilm's streaming service as well as You Tube, iPlayer and countless others
