I’m looking to buy a DSLR camera - most likely an Olympus E420 – so where the best place online or actual shops in the Leeds Bradford area

Ta

I have used Warehouse Express in the past for lenses & stuff & BristolCameras.co.uk
I got my D80 with kit lens from Jessops as they were doing the best deal at the time online. I was even able to buy it online & reserve it at my nearest store. I got a confirmation that it was ready to pick up in under an hour.

You shouldn't have any problems with any of the larger suppliers.

Have a look at Park Cameras website. Bought myself an E620 & 14-54 Mk2 a few weeks ago having used various Canon G.. series cameras. Chuffed to bits, even though I've only dabbled with it so far.

Hi, Just a quick thing.
Make sure you try the camera in a shop before you buy it.
A friend has a E420 and I find the camera too small.
It is great to transport as it is also light.
But my average size hands are actually too big for the camera and I found it uncomfortable.
On the other hand, Canon, Nikon and Sony cameras are a little bigger and I find them more comfortable.

Yea I’d read that in some of the review – and had thought of getting my hands on one (literally) to see how it felt
TBH I’m something of a Hobbit so it should not be a problem

got mine from John Lewis online, order and pick up from your local branch (or delivery obviously) they were cheaper than anywhere online at the time too
