in a rash urge a picked up "Who Killed Amanda Palmer" in HMV the other day for no other reason than Ben Folds produced it. Really enjoying it. I gather Ms Palmer is front totty for the Dresden Dolls who seem to have been pretty prolific with their album production. So which one of theirs should a new listener start with?
I've only got the one album (self titled).
Saw them on some glasto highlights and was very impressed.
I liked the album at first, but found her voice a bit grating the more i listened to it.
Probably still recomend it though.
I was expecting more from a band named after a Fall song to be honest.
doesnt sound very compelling from you two. Maybe she does it better on her own/with Ben Folds - production values on "Who killed..." sound pretty polished to my ears.
