I am beginning to think that Trump is actually a 10-year-old who was fed up with being picked on and ignored by girls at school.

One day, he went to a fairground and discovered a machine that promised to grant wishes: naturally, he wished to be BIG. When he woke up the next day, he was an overweight 70+ moron with orange skin and a whole pipeline full of mental baggage.

Now he's being forced to exist as a child in an adult's world. It was a game, to being with, but he's slowly realising he's missing his sad, pathetic childhood.

Jambalaya when and how do you say Obama banned immigration from Iraq ? The only law or step I can trace is his suspension of the visa waiver programme which obviously is different and had defined exceptions to allow some iraquis to still get visa waiver , and his 6 month monitorium on new visas. At no point in Obama's presidency did immigration from Iraq stop .
I'd love to weep over some facts if you have them.

Random Twitter spats with one of the most successful authors on the planet aside !

I wonder if Trump is getting the hang of things a bit better, he's on the One China ticket now and he's abandoning his travel ban court case in favour of a new option, presumably more vetting rather than an outright ban?

I'm sure there will be plenty of screw ups before the final impeachment tho

Jimmy Jeffries taking Piers Morgan to bits over Trump is worth a watch. Sure someone can linky but on phone and it's awkward, oh and I'm disputing whatever jamby or ninfan last said, not read it but I'm sure it's nonsense.

Watching the news of Trimp and Abe - his lack of understanding Japanese culture was breathtaking. He sure knew how to make Abe look and feel very uncomfortable. Hideous.

Again, you are blindly swallowing a media narrative. Here's the two really greeting each other:

And, just for good measure - here's a real handshake gone wrong:

Yes, yes, you can conclude that from the fact that I commented "Here's the two really greeting each other" as opposed to the "here's the 19second long photo shoot handshake that the lefties are making a big fuss about, because they are desparetly clinging to anything they can to attack him with because they still can't believe they lost"

I assume everything about trump is fake 😉

As for the handshake thing isn't he just trying to do his domminance thing that he did with May, Abe better watch out, is usually followed by some humiliation at the next press conference where condemning trump's latest policy gaffe becomes damaging...

Again, you are blindly swallowing a media narrative.

Which I guess explains why Trump ignores the mainstream media in favour of the "alternative" media, such as Rupert Murdoch's global media empire.

Rupert Murdoch-owned outlets get only US questions at Trump-Japan press event

"President Trump only chose media outlets owned by conservative mogul Rupert Murdoch to ask questions during Friday’s joint press conference with Japanese President Shinzo Abe."

Welcome to 2017 :

War is Peace

Freedom is Slavery

Ignorance is Strength

Alternative Media is News International.

I can understand why Trump appeals to you so much ninfan, he represents the triumph of dishonesty, lying, and misrepresentation of the facts, all things which over the years you have shown on here to value greatly.

Proof he's more popular as a businessman than as a president.

Yes one of Obama's actions was a direct result of the well reported Kentucky incident but that was no ban. Just some extrime vetting of a well defined target group because he knew what was going on.

Yep it may be ugly but it can sure cause a few major panics for the enemy if it goes into action. Oh hang on, nobody needs aircraft carrier nowadays when the range is so near that a cruise missile can easily be used to "microwave" the lot. Alternatively the aircraft carrier can use to "petrol" the Japanese whaling and fishing fleets, then see if Japa will turn vegetarian or vegan. 😆

Oh ya, Japan do have a new aircraft carrier, unlike the Chinese 2nd hand carrier, but the question is how many cruise missiles do you need to sink a modern day aircraft carrier. 😛

I doubt they'll dare let them out of port with no subs to protect them, aircraft carriers are expensive but that pales into nothing compared to the cost of the fleet needed to support them.

Rowling: “Because you had a premonition that one day the author would roar with laughter at seeing you called out for your bullshit on live TV?”

I'd say so yes. It depends on the charities supporter base and goals. They're not all fluffy genuine altruistic organisations.

Maybe some hard "right" religious US non profit, or something that relies on government grants for income. I'd be interested to see the RBLs reaction if he did try to "hide behind" them.

Seems like it's not a good idea to be a tourist in [s]Trumpton[/s] Trump's America and seem to be well-off:
https://boingboing.net/2017/02/09/trump-wants-to-reinstate-and-e.html

Civil asset forfeiture is a perfectly foreseeable outcome of the overbroad War on Drugs: it allows the cops to seize your belongings and charge them -- not you! -- with being the proceeds of a crime. Then it's up to you to figure out how to prove that your cash, car, house, or other belongings are innocent, otherwise the cops get to keep your stuff and use it to fund their operations.

This is especially useful when it comes to amassing budgets to buy things that the cops don't want to ask for in public: that's why Chicago cops stole millions from mostly poor Chicagoans and blew it on surveillance gear (they did this in LA, too). It's hard to see how there'd be a surveillance gear industry without this legalized theft. The NYPD steals so much through forfeiture that it says just adding it up would break their computers (it's even worse in the Bronx).

It's an irresistible temptation. City attorneys invite the town cops to seminars on maximizing the haul of desirable goods, advising the police to keep a wishlist of cars and other material they'd like to steal, so they can be on the lookout for citizens in possession of same to seize from. It got so bad that the CBC issued advice for Canadian to help them avoid being robbed by American cops while on vacation.

Civil asset forfeiture is a clear abuse of power and authority, it is legalised crime committed by the very people who communities look to for protection, the fact it can happen in a supposedly modern democracy is staggering. But it has been going on a lot longer than Trumps political career.

Mr Flynn denied that he and Mr Kislyak had discussed US sanctions and Vice-President Mike Pence also denied the claims on his behalf;

And did any Russian money find is way into Trump's campaign ?

Moby (yes, that guy) has posted this on his Facebook page:

after spending the weekend talking to friends who work in dc i can safely(well, 'accurately'...) post the following things:

1-the russian dossier on trump is real. 100% real. he's being blackmailed by the russian government, not just for being peed
on by russian hookers, but for much more nefarious things.

2-the trump administration is in collusion with the russian government, and has been since day one.

3-the trump administration needs a war, most likely with iran. at present they are putting u.s warships off the coast
of iran in the hope that iran will attack one of the ships and give the u.s a pretense for invasion.

4-there are right wing plans to get rid of trump. he's a drain on their fundraising and their approval ratings, and the gop and koch
brothers and other u.s right wing groups are planning to get rid of trump.

5-intelligence agencies around the world, and here in the u.s, are horrified by the incompetence of the trump administration, and are
working to present information that will lead to high level firings and, ultimately, impeachment.

i'm writing these things so that when/if these things happen there will be a public record beforehand.

these are truly baffling and horrifying times, as we have an incompetent president who is essentially owned by a foreign power.

-moby
