I think if Pence had to replace him, that would be even worse. I know it is hard to believe that Trump isn't rock bottom, but it doesn't take much digging into Pence's political history to see what a truly hate filled bigoted man who believes in his own righteousness he is, he is just as mad as Trump, but with the intent and fervour of a true believer.

Hopefully too Russia will be able to fight terrorism without interference à la Hilary Clinton.
