To be fair to chewkw, have you seen Bidens record? Ever wonder who was the architect of the system that sends so many people to jail? Then wonder why folk voted for Trump?

South Park, once again, got it right.

parody is truth

A douche has some function though whereas a turd sandwich has little practical application, possibly the guys from Dirty Sanchez could eat one for a stunt

Maybe the biden campaign could use this analogy as even his fans must accept he's a doddering old fool. Get the #votedouche working for them. It could make the difference

My vote is for the douche

I'm not a fan of Biden at all but I don't think people voted for Trump because too many (black) people are sent to prison.

It is part of the reason, the democrats took the poor and black vote for granted, and did nothing for them in fact incarcerating them in record numbers. Trumps comes along with all his lies and they rolled the dice.

The trouble is yet again the democrats are taking them for granted, ignoring their needs and instead chasing a small number of mythical centrists, while ignoring massive numbers of disenfranchised voters. Because in reality there is little difference between the DNC and the GOP, they just do what the billionaires tell them. They don't want to politically enfranchise the poor because that lights up a different political path.

He just given a scathing criticism of Michelle Obama for filming her speech before the democrat convention, rather than deliver it live.

How does he know?

Because the CV19 deaths were (thousands) higher on the day it was broadcast, than when she recorded the speech.

Not sure how she’ll recover from that zinger...

Well yeah, I mean they have 13 new community cases, after over a hundred days with none. That's, like, 1300 times infinity percent of an increase. Meanwhile, the US's stats on the same day added only 43000 new cases to their existing total of 2.5 million active cases, so that's only like 2%. And that's even before you take away all the tremendous reduction in coronavirus caused by the 1300 people that died on that day- New Zealand has had only 22, in the whole pandemic.

(I genuinely saw someone complain that Fake News weren't including dead people as succesful reductions in coronavirus the other day...)

Yeah but Alex Jones says there are only 17 people in New Zealand so that's like a 99.9% infection rate. Its because wearing a mask is an affront to God and only communists or gays do it.

MAGA!

Currently browsing through Volume 5 of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence reports into Russia:

https://www.intelligence.senate.gov/publications/report-select-committee-intelligence-united-states-senate-russian-active-measures

It's well worth comparing the spin that these reports completely exonerate Trump of any wrongdoing with the actual findings of the reports which are pretty damning to everyone involved, despite the SCCI being Republican-majority and Republican chaired, and the pretty heavy redactions hiding the juicy bits.

Imagine if Trump isn't the high water mark of modern populism?

Someone just as dangerous but also intelligent with it.

I'm sure such people do exist but I bloody hope they don't get into power.

Yes, I'm aware we might actually be in said situation with Cummings etc, over here.😕

He's just called on people to boycott Goodyear tyres because they don't let employees wear MAGA hats. Well, actually they don't let employees wear political slogans etc of any sort, but that's not important when it comes to... Uh... telling the american people to stop buying from a US based and owned company and take their business to one of their overseas competitors? (Goodyear being the only one of the big 4 tyre manufacturers based in the US)

My Eagles are now a political statement, possibly.

I've seen that vid before and it's hilarious but also terrifying that morons like that exist and have the ability to vote someone like trump into power. It's a shame that an IQ test isn't required before you are allowed to vote.

This seems to be unraveling nicely, but still not sure he will lose the election.

I'll struck my neck out and say he's going to lose.

BUT he absolutely is going to say it was due to election fraud which is a very dangerous road to go along.

Anyone know if American law allows him to go for president again after losing a second term,4 years later?

If he can,I would not put him past going for president once more.

I am pretty sure that there has been a 2 term president before, split by another president in between.

I am increasingly confident that he will not only lose, but lose badly and embarrassingly, not just in numbers but his reaction to the loss. I still think he will try a few stunts to keep power and hope that the mechanisms of authority are willing to not just remove him, but prevent any vindictive moves between his election loss and actually handing over power.

But my biggest concern now, is that the Democrats will be in a unique position of power with a massive victory in both houses, but won't do anything with it to restore some real democracy, ie political funding and lobbying reform, ending gerrymandering, de-politicising the justice system etc

Nothing to stop it- they're only allowed to serve 2 terms, doesn't matter when served. They don't have to be consecutive, hence why they have had 45 presidents but only 44 people have been president.

The minute he stops being president, the lawsuits are going to roll in, so he might not find the time.

One thing that does stand out is that despite their current meltdown, the US institutions are still working to take down the scumbags that he has surrounded himself with, while over here everyone has got their heads up their arse.

Still plenty of time to pardon everybody before January.

Which would be another much needed reform.

I think you've got a point there MSP. Should the Dems win there isn't really time to breathe a sigh of relief, much less trust that having a 'nicer' guy in the White House is going to make any significant difference in and of itself.

Ditto everyone over here still having their heads stuck up their arse.

There's a long, long way to go yet.

God or whoever helps us if Demoncrats gets in as they will let China rule the world.

Voting for Demoncrats is like trying convince Ozzy Man to switch weather forecast channel ("Ozzy Man Reviews: Yanet Garcia & Mexican Weather"). 🤔

I think the 77 days between him losing the election and actually leaving office (on my birthday - nice) are going to be the most  interesting part of Trump's presidency. I say 'interesting' because I can watch from the comparative safety of another country  but it would probably be safer to observe from another planet (which I suppose, lightyears away somebody will one day)

The best people

Bannon arrested for fraud on a Chinese billionaire's superyacht. Couldn't be more perfect. He was due to speak at the RNC next week. Oops.

Thankfully Trump is 74 now (although the 7 is silent) so he'll be 78 / 79 by the time the next election rolls around and probably dribbling quietly into his baby food in a care home.

I thought that, but Biden is 77 now. Though I'd wager in better health, despite Trumo being the fittest man alive, or ever to have lived, apparently...

Like the turd you cannot flush, it's far too soon to think Trump is finished, he still has a core 40% or so voters

But the post mortem is starting
