You may be grammatically correct, but I went on the Together Alliance march earlier this year and there was a huge amount of people, far too numerous to count. And they were all beautiful, in some way.
I can only assume the right wingers are the ugly folk referred to. It's difficult to comment but I guess they must be, they certainly seems to have taken steps to cover their faces to spare us from looking at them. Or are they ashamed to need to hide their identities behind scarves and pen-names?
He might be on to something, whenever I watch footage from protests there does seem to be an above average amount of short, fat and ugly people.
I imagine folk who leave such comments as yours to be short, pugnacious and greasy.
Widespread ridicule all over social media about him hovering around on the fringes of the World Cup presentation and getting in frame. Basically had to be escorted off stage.
Who'd have thought that he'd try to make the whole thing about himself?!
Oh that's right, everyone. Nice to see how much he got booed by the entire stadium though.
The Spanish FA have made a big thing of erasing him from some of the official photos.
This interview with Maggie Haberman is well worth reading, I think it's not paywalled.
He's melting down over the reflecting pool. Irony is, this is just a minor sideshow compared to his other scandals, but his tantrums over it just keep reminding everyone how incompetent his administration is. The prosecutors who tried to prosecute the canoe guy seem to have lied to a grand jury to get an indictment, but just had to drop the case because there was zero evidence to support their claims and they risked debarment if they took it to trial.

You’d think that lying to a grand jury would be enough to get you disbarred 🤦🏻♂️

Judges seem to have noticed that the DoJ prosecutors are not being honest in their submissions and take a very dim view of that. I would not be surprised if the prosecutors involved end up being sanctioned. As it is, they seem to be trying to blame the parks management for this, whether the judge will buy that is another question.
He's won his 43rd Golf Championship at the age of 80
All 43 were won at clubs he owns where the staff have nicknamed him Pele, such is his ability to kick a ball
Unsurprisingly, in other peoples' competitions, he tends to finish 3/4 down the card
All widely reported

The president lives in an alternate reality manufactured by his messianic ego. He is clinically psychotic—totally unable to interface with the real world non-destructively.
There's the tiny matter of a war he started and is now desperate to get out of, but can't. This is now the 12th time he's said that 'a deal to end the war is imminent/they're begging for a deal' etc, etc... only for the Iranians to deny any negotiations are taking place and far from begging for a deal, they're quite happy just keeping the Strait closed and continuing to hold the world economy to ransom. Pure fantasy on Trumps behalf.
Meanwhile petrol prices in the states are up 40% so all but the most hardcore of MAGA cult members hate him, and the rest of the world hate him for petrol prices and many, many other reasons revolving around his general *£@*ishness. His former allies in the region are all telling him to *£@*ing pack it in with the bombing as this just means the Iranians whose military actually seems far from completely destroyed, as claimed by Trump, just lob missiles and drones at them in retaliation.
Once this is over, with the inevitable US climb down, I'm sure plenty of Middle East regimes will be telling the US to get their troops and bases out of their countries.
So all going well then? U! S! A! U! S! A! U! S! A! U! S! A!

Thats shocking. 8 minutes of him rambling complete nonsense. The movies that are going to be made about this idiot are going to be awesome. Dementia-Don is being allowed to show how mad, thick, and demented he is to the whole world. That he has been MOCA tested 3x at least for dementia tells you those around him have their concerns too - that they are able to spin it to him, and he believes, its a good thing just tells you more.
We are watching in real time the destruction of the USA. Whether its directly at the hands of the orange toxic turd, or more sinister people in the background its hard to say.

Apparently the only reason other golfers play against him is everyone wants to have their own anecdote to tell about about Trump's blatant cheating

What's continually happening in the DOJ is people have to be constantly finding something new to offer Trump - some new legal baseball bat he can be seen to be wielding. It not necessarily the case that theres an expectation to follow through with it but they need to continually give him new talking points. So out of necessity these cases are poorly thought through - their primary function is to appeal to Trumps sense of ego and cruelty in the moment they are mentioned to him its entirely secondary for them to be in any way legally functional and they are banking on the most part of Trump forgetting about them.
What's happening more and more though is many of these cases (both through the DOJ and Trump's personal lawsuits) are making nooses for Trump's own neck when the the people he tries to sue decide to call his bluff and go to court.
The one against the BBC is a classic example where going forward with the case would require Trump to disclose his finances.
Another one has backfired recently - in 2021 Capital One closed nearly 400 Trump Organisation bank accounts....... without saying why. Trump sued them claiming that they'd done it as punishment for Jan 6. So that forced Capital One to explain in federal court 'no it was because of all the money laundering'.
Trump needs a bit of aversion therapy to ensure he can't lie in the future.
A zap of electricity through his saggy old nads each time he lies would do the trick. Also it would deeply amuse much of the world's populace.

Oooof…the electric chair is a bit harsh don’t you think?, imagine the poor guards who have to throw the switch and security folk standing there who have to contend with the smell as his fat slowly sizzles and pops, the stench would be horrendous
The room would smell like a rendering plant on a 100° day
Apparently, The war with Iran is "Contraflict"?
Dementia strikes again

He may be the vehicle rather than the driver
Looks like @StuE post above went wrong. I suspect he was trying to insert a link to this story

Dementia strikes again
For someone with dementia he is remarkably successful at stealing money from the American people in a variety of imaginative ways. He has made billions out of them already and by all accounts is razor focused on it.
He's a genius and you're all just judging him by the wrong metric.

Its hard in the moment to be clear whats give and whats take with Trump. It's quite rare for these money making grifts to be his own initiative . Often they're schemes invented by people to (seemingly) benefit him in order for those people to get what they want from him. And often the schemes don't make Trump the money that they appear to.
Truth Social is a classic example - entirely the initiative of other people and a way for them to funnel money from brand Trump/Maga into their own pockets. They all gave themselves paid positions within Trump Social that are hugely inflated relative both to their role and the buisness's value. Trump doesn't get a wage form it. What he has is big wedge of shares they gave him that fleetingly were very valuable - but being given those shares was also conditional on him not actually being able to sell them. So he was a paper billionaire because of them - but has been left saddled with them while everyone else cashed out and since then they've plummeted in value.
The.art.of.the.deal
So what often appears to be be a grab by Trump is actually things being pushed upon him by people how stand to gain much more from these deals that he does. He's a doormat. He was a doormat from the very start when Jones Day identified him as their empty vessel / trojan horse during the run up the presidential elections. Everyone's been replicating their playbook ever since.
He’s making lots of very rich people lots of money. He openly brags about this from the Whitehouse, he’s not being taken for a ride, he knows it’s what he needs to do to get the gains himself. He’s smart enough to make that work very well for him (politically and in money terms).
Anyway, what he’s doing in terms of fossil fuels in the USA is a stark reminder that the UK and others have to move away for LNG, at speed. And no, drilling for more gas in Europe won’t help us.
I am forever in awe of my sister for completing her one. She wrote it whilst holding down a full time job with overnight on-call (the future existence of the job was reliant on completing the PhD - something baffling in the world of clinical immunology and genetics with organ transplantation that is beyond me), a less than 12 months old daughter, a house that was a building project that had gone very wrong and her father had just died. Some people have a year off for maternity leave - she had 3 months and then cleared that to do list.

Doah - wrong topic....should have been the dodgy prof topic! That's how dislike we are - I can't even post on a forum without messing it up!

Not exactly Donald Pleasence, let alone Harrison Ford, is it.
Heartening to know they took the treat seriously enough for the plane to fly anyway with crew, Whitehouse staff and journalists on board.
"But if I go, you go, right?"
err - not quite.
Hidden in a catering truck...of junk food. I bet he thought he'd died and gone to heaven......I just have an image of a orange Homer Simpson.
I imagine they had to entice him into the catering truck by leading him in with a McDonalds bag on a fishing pole.
The odd thing is, given his narcissism, I think he's actually quite thrilled to be a target of these various assassination attempts. Given this little escapade happened over a month ago - and the point of the whole switcheroo was to deceive would be Iranian assassins why show your hand and blab about it now? It's not like the whole Iran issue has blown over in the meantime.
It seems part of his motive for nailing his name to the Kennedy Arts Centre was his notion that attempts on his life had elevated him to Kennedy's status.
why show your hand and blab about it now?
I'm more surprised that we was able to switch back to the Qatar plane with journalists on it when they swapped back at Mildenhall and not instantly blab and brag about how he'd just outwitted everyone and he had just been told he the greatest magician on Earth.
The secret button theory is obvious nonsense, but it's funny that it's plausible that there is such a button, and also the general creepiness of this scene.

Did Biden ever fall asleep in front of the cameras whilst doing press conferences as Dementia-Don?
I recently watched Trump and Rubio going head to head debating prior to Trumps first time in office - Trump was still an idiot back then, but wow its blatantly clear how far Trump has deteriorated.
but wow its blatantly clear how far Trump has deteriorated.
theres definitely been a degree of age related deterioration, which theres bound to be - but also the only thing he's been interested in throughout his presidency is himself. His priorities are getting himself on TV and in the news papers firstly - then watching /reading about himself avidly for the rest of the time. He was on Usha Vance's podcast recently - a podcast by the Second Lady about children's books - asked what he likes to read he said he only reads newspapers - and only stories about himself.
He's always been massively self absorbed and hugely keen to get his name and face in the media - but he's never seen and heard himself so much as has during the last few years - theres hours of him on TV every day for him to watch and I think theres a sort of feedback loop, he's becoming more and more of a parody of himself. His manner and delivery have become more of a caricature of Trump than the satirists who seek to lampoon him.
His priorities are getting himself on TV and in the news papers firstly
I thought that was priority 2 after making shed loads of money from dodgy dealings
I thought that was priority 2 after making shed loads of money from dodgy dealings
not really - he's never been as good as he'd like to think at making money - his focus has always been on looking successful, actual success has always been secondary.
but wow its blatantly clear how far Trump has deteriorated.
theres definitely been a degree of age related deterioration, which theres bound to be - but
Biden, even now with his serious health problems (which obviously impact on his delivery) sounds coherent. Where as Trump now just talks complete contradictions and repeats of what has been said before but in a jumbled nonsensical way. Previously, he was of course dumb as a rock but he was altogether sharper in his recall and responses.
The secret button theory is obvious nonsense, but it's funny that it's plausible that there is such a button, and also the general creepiness of this scene.
Who is that beside him?,
So Trump swapped planes as a decoy for would be assassins. Pity it wasn't the party Ryanair flight to MAGAluf.

Leaving the press corp and various officials behind.
People are suggesting its why Leavitt may have decided to leave. Got to be somewhat demoralising taking just 7 weeks maternity leave to come back and lie for him only to find out her loyalty isnt exactly returned.

More so when she heard he took along the female assistant he is allegedly having an affair with.
That said - it was predicted pretty accurately back last year how KKK would orchestrate her exit from Trump. The pregnancy, brief return .. then a short period of podcasting, before a reappearance on either Fox News or maybe even a run at office (she has shown interest in this before)
Quite a demoralising point made re Levitt on the newsagents - that at 28 Trump's version of polical discourse will have been the dominant version of politics for her whole adult lift - Previous press secretaries either had to swallow their pride or swallow booze to be able to be the face and voice for Trump at press conferences but for Levitt it just seemed to be the natural way of things.
For (us) older folk its easy to sell yourself the idea that Trump and other populist figures around the world are a bump in the road, an aberration to get past before things can return to normal. But for a sizeable chunk of the population this now is normal.
More so when she heard he took along the female assistant he is allegedly having an affair with.
Wait, WTF? You're not talking about the buzzer woman? Is this something else? Who? How? WHYYYY??????
