Literally everything the toxic orange idiot gets involved with falls apart .. yet, he is still allowed to continue. The USA has never looked so vulnerable and weak.
I see Meloni has had enough and called his constant lies out. Hopefully other world leaders will be as brave and voice what they all must be discussing in private. Its no exaggeration to say that the USA, at best, will take decades to recover from the harm Dementia Don has done to them.

Yeah, that's the reason Donny.
In other news, that didn't last long in the Gulf.
This,⬆️ Is symptomatic of there being a vandal in the Whitehouse.
Look on the bright side....orange baby might be so enraged at Netanyahu for continuing with Lebanon attacks that he has a coronary.

What would it take for him to stop sending dollars?
Who wants pictures with a fat old man. Meloni will pull the old sexist barsteward to bits over this.

Well, as a hunting trophy, I’d consider it. Bow hunting trips to Mar a Lago would be fun, but I’ll have to start practicing with a compound bow, although my recurve might have enough velocity it probably wouldn’t manage the range across a golf course… 🤔
Is anyone really surprised that Trump was outsmarted by a single-cell organism?

I saw a great comment the other day; Americans elected Trump because they believed America should be run by a businessman, and that's just what they've got. He's stripping and selling off the assets, cutting costs, transferring wealth out of it and loading it with debt before he exits.
I think this is real
It's real, both the protestor and the post about it. He doesn't have the cognitive ability to process satire and sarcasm.
He's also trying to start a war on Chicago.
Of course he is, because Obama has just opened his presidential centre there and has been all over the media with it. Oddly, it's not a big hotel as a shrine to a false god-king, so might be causing irritation to someone with thin skin.
I'd like to think that at some point his behavior (as a dementia sufferer) is going to finish him - like he'll wet himself, or he says something massively inappropriate, that his handlers are forced to both acknowledge and do something, but honestly, the first one has probably happened, and the second definitely has, so I've no idea where this ends up TBH.
Also: Mitch McConnell (who is 84) hasn't been seen for a week at least and there haven't been any updates.
Well, he’s finally got a real swamp to drain…
So, when both houses vote to instruct him to seek their permission for war... he just says it's meaningless. So much for a written constitution.
Not sure why we all aren't doing this?
More corrupt than a very corrupt thing.
It's difficult to keep up with (i guess, by design) It'll take decades and decades to unpick all the shit that's gone down, and of course in a few years Donny himself will have shuffled off, so won't ever be held responsible.

What's even worse, is that the Trump family made money while the other investors lost.
Apparently if you had invested $10,000 in Jan 2025, it's worth about $400 now.
Fools and their money.
Imagine being dumb enough to invest in Trumps dodgy crypto? They deserve everything they get.
It also shows why Farage is so keen on getting involved in the same game?
I expect the vast majority of those who invested in his crypto were the wealthier more gullible MAGA/Trump fans. As with the other idiots who bought/ordered his mobile phone, they will see very clearly see the Trump grift because there is no way he can claim its the radical left or Biden who has lost them their money.
November isn`t too far away ..

They have a real hardon for Crypto in the US, same with that Hawk Tuah lass, she fronted one and it was a pump and dump operation.

Depends if they were investing in dodgy crypto doesnt it?
For example Justin Sum invested large sums. In completely unrelated news US fraud charges against some of his Sun's crypto currency companies got dropped and laws which suited those companies got passed.
The UAE also invested heavily and, again in unrelated news, benefited from laws/deals by Trump.
Sure there will be plenty of rubes who brought it but I think there will be a book or two figuring out exactly what the balance between the rubes and brown envelopers were and what the latter got in return.

Well that video really helped me understand the Bitcoin world, or otherwise 🤔Global Ponzi scheme or am I being unfair?
something like 90% of the value of Bitcoin is held by 1% of bitcoin users. It's making some people very rich, and it's in their interests to make sure there's a constant stream of "investment" coming into it.
Did anyone really believe only Trump was bare faced lying to people?
Career self serving politicians such as Starmer are primarily there for just for themselves.

Global Ponzi scheme or am I being unfair?
I'll give that a viewing. My understanding of crypto is limited (to say the least) but I've always thought that the whole thing looks like a giant Ponzi scheme
Career self serving politicians such as Starmer are primarily there for just for themselves.
Firstly Starmer was not a career politician.
Secondly for all his faults no I dont think he was primarily there for himself assuming you mean for making money vs just a thought he would be good at this PM thing (a flaw he shared with Cameron).
Also out of curiosity why is being a career politician a bad thing. If you are in politics to make cash the better option seems to not to be a career politician but instead a spad or similar who quits and joins a lobbying firm whilst their party/contacts is either in charge or about to be in charge.
Obviously there are examples of bad career politicians like Farage but was Bottomley and Sheerman just in it for themselves?
Something to spit your breakfast out to this morning
I read the article in the BMJ that this is drawn from. You'll be un-surprised to hear that the word "could" in that headline is doing some heavy lifting. The Guardian is no more immune from outraging it's readers than the Sun or Telegraph is. In any trade deal made with any one is going to have some impact somewhere.
Essentially If the spend in new drugs matches the maximum expenditure in this deal for at least the next decade, and assuming economic growth over that period is at least 1.5% and there isn't any additional funding to the NHS, then the opportunity costs of the purchase of new drugs will be borne by other services within the NHS and will have an impact on excess deaths.
It won't come as a massive surprise to anyone that raising costs in one area in a system that has finite resources in an aging and increasingly unwell population will impact other areas.
In other news, the sun comes up.
Career self serving politicians such as Starmer are primarily there for just for themselves.
Starmer was 53 years old when he became a politician.
You don't get to advise various government and policing bodies and later become DPP and Head of the CPS without being a politician. He's been practising for over 25 years
Happy to describe Farage as a career politician - but not so for Starmer is a bit rich I think. Starmer had political ambitions since the late 70s as a Labour Party Young Socialist. And similarly to Farage, he may have spent decades outside of elected office, but spent those same decades deeply embedded in political environments.
Starmer, like most other career politicians, has done his own fair share of grifting. Maybe not to the level of Trump, or even Farage .. but the bar of whats acceptable seemingly gets higher all the time.
This thread has wandered seriously off topic, both Starmer and Farage have their own argumentathons, maybe take it over there?
Imagine being dumb enough to invest in Trumps dodgy crypto? They deserve everything they get.

Indeed - it was just another of many ways offered for foreign and commercial interests to shovel money into Trumps pockets in the return for influence. His meme coins etc were just that - the schmucks that bought them thinking they would be worth something were just window dressing to distract from the truck loads of money that were funnelled in by organisations and interests that really would see a return on their investment.
The sale of shares in Truth Social was the same - of $1bn of investment in a company with a turnover equivalent to a single McDonald's franchise. Those shares are now worth approx 10% of what they were initially traded for and continue falling. Again the big spenders will be seeing dividends far beyond the losses they've made on the stock value.
But also look at what happens with his properties. Fifa rents a floor of Trump Towers - they don't use it - it's empty space - they just pay for it.
Similarly the Chinese, Saudi, Malaysian, UAE, Qatar and Turkish governments regularly books multiple rooms at the Trump International in Washington - again - not for the purpose of actually staying there. Cumulatively they've sent $750m on hotel rooms. (this is aside from the millions the Whitehouse spends on accommodation for the Secret Service at every Trump hotel and Golf Course)
After Amazon paid $40m to Milania for make a documentary that catalogued a whole two weeks of her life (Amazon has around $12bn per year in government contracts) Trump made sure to remind them and other channels and streamers that he also has plenty of other relatives that could maybe have a documentary made about them

The comments were in response to e-machine sprouting complete bollocks. I know it is fun to be the thread police but by doing so you are supporting it.
It really does translate well at a high level.
With Trump his selling point was he was a successful businessman entering politics purely for the public good.
With Starmer his selling point was after a successful legal career he was entering politics purely for the public good.
Then we have the professional politician Farage.
I am no fan of Starmer but sprouting absolute shite about him being a professional politician is simply wrong and we can see people trying weird attempts to justify it.
If you want to thread police we can look at Trumps early attempts before 2016 to become president. How do we distinguish between a career politician and one who has had breaks because no one would vote for them?

Claiming Starmer isn`t a professional politician - yet thinking its me sprouting absolute shite ...
Facts are facts Dully
*appols for the off topic
Here we go again. Best go and fill the car up. Obviously the usual considered, diplomatic language was used 🙄
With a bit of luck in future meetings with Trump, the UK will be able to send the new US ambassador, Count Binface.
