Any Cove frame would be ideal
Maybe Sanchez is best for shouting across the park at half-term

As a kid our dog was called Dugg as in Scottish for Dug! The extra "g" was an affectation.

Maybe Sanchez is best for shouting across the park at half-term
but then when he gets all muddy he'll be a dirty....

When I'm out walking my dogs I sometimes see a womanout walking her dog, Woof (named by her toddler) she has to stand in the park shouting 'Woof Woof' when its off doing its thing! Always makes me smile when its pissing down.

Saw a bit on TV this morning about pet cloning. You can clone your pooch for a mere £63000.
The woman being interviewed had replaced her pooches with clones as each expired.

They were named Trouble, Double Trouble, Triple Trouble.

What about Houston, sounds like Auston so he wont get confused.
Then you can say "Houston we have a problem".Something I have
said many times whilst repairing or indeed riding the bike.

I wanted to call our dog "d-fer" but the kids vetoed it. She got Milly instead.

+1 for Shinpad suggested earlier. Stonking name fer a dawg.

Surprised nobody's gone for Fenton...

Tbh, when they're being disobedient, dogs seem to ignore whatever you say, so you can call them whatever you want. 'Pinhead' is what I generally end up with when ours won't respond

Dutch footballers are always a good source of names -
...
Ruud (Gullit or van Nistelrooy)

That's asking for trouble. People(*) would refer to you as "Ruud dog and the dweebs."

(* - well, I would)

I reckon if I had a dog, I'd call it Jesus.

Then when the Jehova's Witnesses come knocking, asking "have you found Jesus?" I can say "yes, he's asleep under the sideboard."

The juxtaposition of those last two images is a little unfortunate.

My Collie's names single syllable easy for dog to learn harder humans to alter i.e. Samuel - Sammy - Sam - Peeps - poor dog has no idea what it's name is

I'm liking the bike parts theme, will probably give that a go next time

I recently heard a man calling a dog named "Steven". This is (for reasons I cannot understand) one of the funniest things I have ever experienced. Weeks later, recalling it still fires up the ROFLcopter.

So my vote is for "Steven".

Oi!

If your posh, the double barrelled version...

or "Oi! Come Here"

However, I've noticed most dogs I encounter are called Oi.

Why not just give your pooch a traditional dog's name? You wouldn't name your children this way, would you?

this thread reminds me of a Ross Noble joke - he claimed his uncle had a dog named after jazz musician Charlie Mingus but often upset passing girls when he had to call for it in the park (imagine geordie voice shouting "come here Mingus")

Our bingo was called bingo.

My next one will be called Elvis or Jesus as shouting his name in the park would make me s****.

Jesus, come here Jesus. Have you seen Jesus please?
Or why not hora?

'Hora? Its 9am mate

See I think dogs should have the most normal and boring names possible. Off the top of my head I think your new pooch looks a lot like an Ian. Or maybe a Mick, or perhaps a Kev. Of your suggestions Keith is definitely the one.
