For reasons I'm not going into, we are looking at private treatment options for my wife. This is likely to cost a reasonable amount. Can't find much info about what happens if treatment is unsuccessful or more treatment is needed. Anyone have any experience?

They will give you a very long long list of small print to go over probably along with a nothing is certain line. Best person to speak to is probably the consultant who should have a good idea what the odds are for the procedure.

Best mates wife had a nose job, she'd always been unhappy with the bump on it. She wasn't happy with it after, took all precautions to allow it to heal as advised. Went back, spoke to the consultant, he agreed, she had it redone for free. That is the one and only example I've got but i suppose that would count as a warranty repair and damn good customer service all in one.

Unless it's through incompetence or negligence then to the best of my knowledge, no.
No 2 people are the same. It'd be unreasonable to expect a guaranteed result.
My wife has had a large amount of unsuccessful treatments (luckily covered by insurance) but we have now exhausted the allowance for certain treatments and are having to self fund. To be honest the thought had never even crossed my mind about trying to get a refund.

If it's cosmetic then it comes down to the individual clinic I know the Laser eye surgery my wife also had came with no warranty.

Thanks for feedback so far-understand there's no guarantees. Trust me, we've been playing postcode lottery with the NHS for years and getting nowhere. Currently a 1year wait for a consultant and 18month waiting list for treatment after that.

Just trying to weight up all options.

No guarantees with surgery. Had a very small NHS procedure go very wrong, so I wasn't keen on surgery when I badly broke my spine - chose to lie flat on my back in hospital for over 6 weeks.

My surgeon said they could have me walking, or it may go wrong and I might not be able to move ! Nothing is guaranteed, may or may not improve. Weigh up the risks, and also the delay in an NHS procedure.
