We will be in touch
I’m after a watch that is out of the ordinary. My father purchased it in Malaysia 25 years ago and it disappeared a few years back.
It was a mechanical watch in that it had dials and internal gubbins on view but was analogue. Not in the standard since, you had to work out the time using the various dials.
Sorry for the vague crap description but I only vaguely remember it. I want to replace it without him knowing so can’t ask him. If I google mechanical analogue watch I just get a standard watch.
Basically, I’m not sure what I’m after but will know when I see it.
Help!
can't find anything with multiple dials but is is something along these lines?

Cheers Carlosq, similar inner workings but the dials were all over the place. Seem to remember looking at it for ages and still couldn't tell the time (though i was only 8). You needed to do some sums to come to the time.
Now i think of it the watch was silly and he's better off without it. I'll get him a bike instead.
Try this person from here. People from watch forums recommend him. Just navigate around to find the watch that your father like. I think he is from the Northern state of Malaysia, Pinang Island, if I am not mistaken.
This one perhaps?
I was thinking Bulova Accutron, then I saw the bit about dials, so a Skeleton chrono of some sort, as unovolo said.
It might be worth just putting that into a search field and then just looking at images, see if something triggers a memory.
Cheers chaps, that does look like it. Stupid 25 year old memory of a watch I didn't pay much attention to is letting me down.
