Now that we've got a proper winter (ie it's freezing!) I've noticed that I seem to be much hungrier than usual. Especially for warming carbo-rich foods, like soups, mashed potatoes, puddings etc. Is it purely psychological? Or do we need more food in winter?
Despite the weather, I'm still pretty active - either turbo sessions or long days hiking in the hills. But no more so than normal. So energy expenditure shouldn't be any greater, despite the apparent feeling of needing to eat more.
Anyone else? Or are you all surviving on salads?

I also eat more when it's warm too.. and when it's mild, and clement.. and at other times
