Is it my imagination or are there more and more examples of this tactic being used in modern British society.

nothing new, it has always been the case, it is always "their" fault.
People are stupid and this has always been the case.

Eating lots of small cakes is easier than eating one big one.
It all seemed tostart with th miners strikes where whole families where turned against each other,folowed by communities, and now seems endemic in many workplaces/workforces.
