I have really, really, really, vivid dreams. I have done for years , mostly off the wall dreams that seem to last for hours. I don't eat late at night, normally about 6pm, and try and avoid high fat food like cheese as well.
I do not have the usual falling dreams, teeth falling out, light at the end of tunnel etc , Way more surreal.
Last night I was cycling with a group of riders in Canada . Not sure why , but hey ho, I have no intention of going there this decade. We were riding up a gully, trying to keep up speed as there were signs about mountain lions. On an outcrop of rock there was a large mountain lion / lynx type thing . I can definatly remember as I rode up toward it it jumped across the gully and attcked . I tried to defeat the best with a large beige blanket ( hardcore ). Unfortunatly the beast ripped my throat out and I could sort of see myself bleeding out with my windpipe missing.

Woke up in abit of a sweat, had a glass of water and tried to go back to sleep , but failed so went to work.

The lads at work were abit taken aback, alledgedly you do not normally die in your dreams. They normally laugh at my surreal nightime adventures, but this time it all got abit serious.

Are they winding me up , or should I sign up for a co op funeral?

I don't think it means anything, I once had a dream where I played hide and seek with hitler. When he got bored he got someone to chop my head of with an axe...I'm still alive!

No - nothing wrong with dying in a dream, as in the same way the death card in tarot is not bad.

It could signify a rebirth of some kind, or alternatively you may need to take stock of some aspect of your life that needs changing.

In Native American lore, the mountain lion represents "leadership". Interesting that you had your throat ripped out - could be some kind of communication plus leadersyhip issues going on in your life that need looking at.

However, Lynx interestingly represents "secrets". Are you keeping secrets from others, or is your dream telling you to keep your big mouth shut? Are you worthy of being trusted? I don't know how to interpret this for you of course, just suggesting a number of aspects of "secrets" that you may want to think about.

It's just a weird dream - maybe you should write books...

Died in a dream a few times myself - can't say it really bothered me really. Never did try save myself with a beige blanket - I probably would seek help for that bit. ๐Ÿ˜‰

If it makes you feel better about surreal dreams, last night in my dream I was somehow descending a tarmac mountain road, and three guys (who were all members of The Temptations) were descending too on bikes that had front skis designed for snow. There was a coach too, and I could see that they were all out of control. I was then in front of the bus and saw them slam into it. I went to a hotel at the bottom of the mountain to call 999 but even though there were lots of phones available, none of the staff would let me phone. I knew the three were all dead at this point in time. I was really in tiers as I was getting no help from no one.

So yeah, not just you ๐Ÿ™‚

Simon Ralli.- Very interesting, New manager at work I cannot respect or trust. She asks stupid open questions with possibly dozens of correct answers. Imagine someone asking " Name a day of the week", When they actually want to know your favourite day of the week.
I fail to communicat on a daily basis with her.
My collegue also says I should write books, on my daily work issues dealing with the window lickers, and my night time antics.

Something just occured to me , the other day I was pondering on how I was gong to die, as a significant birthday approaches.

Filthy , Which bike you got dibs on Ht or FS?

Talking of being eaten by mountain lions, was riding in Golden Gate State Park last Nov (Colorado) and at the end of the trail came across this sign:

I died in a dream once - me and the missus were in a pub, when they annnounced a bare knuckle fighting competition. Mrs JB went to the bar under the pretence of getting a round in, but entered me in the fighting. I drew the school bully, chris bradbury in the first round - I beat him, and was pretty pleased with my self.

Next round i drew Ricky Hatton, 3 punches and I died on the canvas.

Still havn't forgiven her.

I had a dream about a Simple Minds song

Uncannily accurate and no need for an interpretation of the symbolism from the depths of Hora's unconscious ๐Ÿ˜€

I have weird dreams all of the time - it is perfectly normal and more likely you are anxious about something( or so a doctor friend of mine said). Fear not ๐Ÿ™‚

Does anyone seriously believe that dying in a dream could have any impact on reality?

My two most memorable dreams:
1. I was a Judge (2000ad) patrolling, bringing order etc. Ambushed in a bar and shot twice in the back of the head. I was alive, on the floor when they carried me off to the ambulance.

2. A wierd WWII dream, ran straight at a battle tank climbed ontop and emptied my machine gun in the hatch. Years later saw a very similar scene in Saving Private Ryan? and the dream came flooding back in clarity- really wierd.

am i single?
am i making any noise? if yes, will whoever is in bed with me wake up?
am i sleepwalking? am i in actual fact humping the cat/dining table/housmate?

I always thought it was impossible for your self to die in a dream? I've come close but there was always something ridiculous that saved me, like a hole in the house that fell on me or a secret parachute in a pocket somewhere ..etc...

I got two girls pregnant in a nightmare I had the other night, would much rather have died to be honest. No, I've not been sleeping around.

Last night I dreamed I escorted the Prime Minister of India (a raven-haired MILF) to the premiere of Slumdog Millionaire. God it was the best dream I've had in ages

But where TF do these dreams come from? I've not seen Slumdog, I've no idea who is PM of India

But it was a beautiful, beautiful dream
