Got a 4 year old delonghi magnifica s plus (the one with the LCD and the buttons rather than buttons and lights)
It has been through the wars but recently its decided it won't clear the puck off the infuser between shots unless I manually open the machine and move it.
I stripped it down and found it was utterly filthy inside(oops) so cleaned it all up removed all the ground etc.
It makes a much nicer coffee now but still the puck issue remains.
When I opened it up after the first shot after cleaning the sweeper arm was half way across the puck -which was still half retracted into the infuser which suggest that either a switch is on the blink or the timing of the arms on the infuser Vs the position of the drive gear screw.
Looking at the photo of the infuser it is set up the same way when the screens at top the arms are one fully restricted and one fully outstretched.
Before I chuck it and buy something else.....anyone got any further ideas. I've been through all the blogs and YouTube suggestions I've found already.
