Received my new (factory refurb) magnifica a couple of days ago.
When I'm using the steamer/frother with milk it's making a pretty horrendous high pitched noise.
Never had a coffee machine before so is it me doing something wrong?

Try moving the cup around the wand a bit, that calms it down. But yes, it is noisy.

I find if it’s high pitched it doesn’t froth properly. It’s either the milks old or the wand is blocked. Try taking the plastic end bits off the wand and use a cocktail stick to unblock the holes/ make sure there’s no calc or milk causing air to leak out somewhere other than the jet.

Does the wand have a toggle to adjust between steam for cappuccino and heating of milk for Latte? My delonghi (not magnifica) did and it sounds like a Saturn rocket taking off when on the heating milk setting but much quieter on steam
