One of the true legends of broadcasting [url= http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25476438 ]has just passed away[/url] aged 87. A good innings.

An unforgettable voice coupled with that pitch of excitement! Plenty of comedy value too.

RIP

Indeed. Many of us did.

I think we sometimes believe people of his ilk will be around forever because we've always 'known' them.

Just watched Red Dwarf Just the Smegs and when it all went wrong in recording they would stand around doing the Coleman "Quite remarkable".
