I laughed , then felt abit bad . Then I laughed  some more as it reached the stage of ' Why risk going out , and maybe meeting other people '

Whatever floats  your boat I suppose ....

But he sounded happy and could also laugh about himself.

Having the ability to laugh at yourself and recognise your own faults is refreshing.

Radclife and Marconie (but actually Chris Hawkins covering)

One of the 'Chain' slots, couldn't tell you the time though. If you look up the play list the Chain track was Myxomatosis by Radio Head

Darren is brilliant. I'd certainly much rather listen to him than Chris Hawkins. Chris Hawkins' voice makes me feel quite queasy.

For those who wondering: He's listening to the NME top 200 albums one after the other and rating them and compiling playlists of his fave tracks. And then listening to some albums again, I think.

Is it bad that I like that idea? But then you really need to listen to some albums a few times to appreciate them (every Radiohead album apart from the bends for me). Maybe you could calculate a # of listens / rating ratio? Ooh, there could be spreadsheets and charts and...

There are, most definitely, spreadsheets.

And then he couldn't remember the name of his favourite one ('it's that Van Morrison one....')

I was working from home on Monday I had to check that I hadn't asked google to play local radio instead

Me too. I actually liked Hawkins' response, too. Little breathy giggles of WOW.

Yeah, I guess it would be quite a shock for a modern radio DJ to find someone who is really into music 😉

I got quite excited, until I realised I'm only part way through

https://mixmag.net/feature/the-50-most-influential-dance-music-albums-of-all-time

and I really should finish listening to them first 😀

I haven't involved spreadsheets though!

Was actually quite shocked that 'Freightened rabbit' made there first appearance on the chain on tuesday. Chris Hawkins isnt so bad really , he is pretty decent on the really early shift before Keaveney.
