I've been employed since Methusela was a lad and my CV goes back to pre-history. As per, I update it after each Contract, fiddle a bit then fire it out again. Then after a bit, I usually talk myself into another role...

Anybody had any positive experiences of using 3rd party CV drafting companies specifically in the IT sector? If so, which ones? It seems quite expensive on the face of it though obviously not if a rewrite results in accelerated placement.

Smacks of snake oil to me but then I'm not in recruitment...

I put out a cv on cv site job sites as I was thinking of having a change.

I got a few "we will do you a professionally compiled cv" they had poor spelling and grammer???, my wife sorted mine as im not much good at spelling and grammer, but do you homework as its a scam to part you with cash as usual with the email ones.

but if you know someone or try careers office etc as they will usually be free..

ive been self employed for 30yrs so looking for a job was a ffs is that why were in a mess ...shit wages and shit jobs..
