I haven't done Cut Gate yet, it's on my to do list but I've only ridden in the Peak once. Hoping to do it this summer
There's a nice article on the BMC website about it, basically raising the profile of the Mend our Mountains campaign
Not just raising the profile, but raising £75,000 to improve it. If lots of us chip in that target will be hit. Can you spare a fiver?

OpenMTB's piece on it is well worth a read too, he says modestly...

christ 75k is a lot of money Dan. Is all that for improving cutgate alone?
What is the money going on?
Not being critical btw, I wholly support your campaign 🙂
Logistics i presume being in the the middle of nowhere!
Will that need materials lifting in by helicopter?
(will read articles later)
Bump. This shouldn't really be dropping off the front page folks. It would be great if we could get behind this as a community and show ourselves as a force for good.
Jekkyl, piemonster I'll answer your questions rather than just posting links as I've got a bit more time.
£74k is the cut gate target. There's the bogs, a bit at the bottom near slippery stones and a bit on the edge.
They'll be some choppering of materials in and then there's materials themselves, contractors (good ones :o) ) and all the other stuff around it.
Come and see us at SCHAFF - we'll be manning a stand.
Donated. Been 10 years since I rode it but was worth a few quid .
Front page sticky?
a sticky would be sweeeeet!
SCHAFF ?
google is not throwing up anything relevant.
After the mend our mountains launch at Sheff this weekend I thought it would be worth linking to the cutgate donation page once more for those who missed the story previously.
