Been a few months since we had one of these threads so what is everybody enjoying on Netflix at the moment?

I just finished Dexter and really enjoyed it, watched a few episodes of House of Cards and that seems OK, will give it a chance. Same for the good wife. Also watching the odd episode of Episodes but not sold yet.

Just about finished Person if interest too, Mrs isn't keen so tend to watch it when she is out or doing something else.

Orange is the New Black has been a riot, quite compelling, very good characters and humour, thought provoking too.

It's not Netflix Chez Willard, it's Amazon Prime Instant, but the series du jour is "Extant" starring the lovely Halle Berry.

I'm still yet to be convinced about the X-Files-esq plot, but as I am only up to episode 3 (4 came out last night), I'm willing to give it a little more time. It is shot well though.

Aye, got through both seasons of that very quickly. Piper annoys the hell out of me though.

I'd recommend Suits too if Lawyer type shenanigans are your thing.

Just done the Bridge first series, watched the second one first so knew what was happening but still gripping, Saga Noren is simply wonderful.

Started on the Shield now, its not the Wire but enjoyable.

Hardly new but I am enjoying them

Archer

This is probably my favourite animated show. Peaks in seasons 2 and 3 where it gets a bit dark (for a comedy) but generally pretty awesome.

Series 5 'Archer Vice' was absolutely brilliant.

They have all the series of Trailer Park Boys, which is one of my favourite comedies ever.

Suits is very good IMO.

If you download Chrome and then an app called 'Hola' you can quickly and easily switch to an american IP and get the US content. I'm currently getting through Family Guy seasons 1-11 at an alarming rate!

This only really works if your laptop/comp has HDMI out to connect to telly otherwise I think quality will be shite.

Also, not sure on legality.

Don't flame me but American Pie: The Reunion was surprisingly watchable.

I will Second "Trailer park boys" takes a few episodes to get into but Bubbles is the star of the show.

Lillehamer is also good.

Stick with the Good Wife - one of the best shows on TV IMO

Orange is the New Black
Homeland
Firefly
Continuum

Just had the email today that 'Orphan Black' has just landed on Netflix and from what I've read in the past it's meant to be v.good

For a fun film, try Zombieland - hilarious

House of cards gets so much better towards the end of the first season. It's a slow burner.

Yep another one for Justified and Firefly too.

I've found Warehouse 13 good for hungover sundays, like a tongue-in-cheek Fringe.

Alphas I quite enjoyed, until they stopped making it and didn't bother letting the storyline play out.
Fringe is very good, orange is the new back was good 1st season but I can't get into the new one.

You have to try Portlandia", give it a couple of shows, it helps if you are aware of the Portland Scene , I guess it could be described as hipster capital of the states , Carrie & Fred are just genius when it comes to building characters you feel you know in real life.

+1 for Zombieland and Suits.

Fairly hammering our way through Suits, probably go back to The Killing next for season two.

Tried Sons of Anarchy, didn't really get it to be honest.

American Horror Story (if you like stuff like Tales from the Crypt, The Twighlight zone - good modern version of that sort of thing, I really liked it)
Trailer Park Boys -just watch a few to see how people live without money.
The KIlling (and the american series too! series 4 just started)
Fish Tank
Frances Ha
Downloaded (doc about napster, more interesting and factual than The Social Network)
5 Broken Cameras
Only God Forgives
Bukowski-born into This.
etc
There's bloody loads of good stuff on there!...

If you've got Netflix this is worth a look, I like the Netflix interface but it's a bugger to just browse, this lets you see the whole catalogue. The Twitter feed's useful too.

Just got a free trial of Amazon Prime for a month. Is it any good? Watched a couple of episodes of Extant and it is meh. Nowhere near as good as Utopia or The Spiral, both of which are shown on free channels.
