Just recovering from a great weekend at Comrie Croft. What a fantastic event. Weather atrocious on Saturday morning and early pm, so enduro was a mudfest, but still great fun.
Then, against the odds, the sun came out at about 4pm and the evening was glorious. Loads to do for the kids. Great food, beer and music. We BBQed while the kids went a bit feral.
Sunday was dry and warm. My 7yo loved the mini enduro - his first MTB race. Great course for the wee ones. Very proud of his effort!
Then there was water sliding, grass sledging and crazy colour run thing that was a massive hit.
So, congratulations to the organisers and thanks and well done to all the marshalls and other staff who were all excellent - despite the weather!
It was fantastic wasn’t it?
Cheers to the Muckmedden Guys and all at Comrie Croft Bikes.
echo the above. only managed the Sunday which I felt was a little pricey on the day, but the eldest had a go at most things, the highlight being the segways. Youngest (5) was sulking as she couldn't ride her bike anywhere until the races had finished, after which she spent a good hour on the pump track...day rescued. Think we are going to try the eliminator in August...same crowd and format it seems.
My 10yo is still raving about the Enduro and he’s gutted the Falkirk one’s not on. Trying to work out if he could pretend to be 12 for the Eliminator.
Next year your 7yo will be old enough for the bucking bronco too!
I’m trying to work out when we have a free weekend to go and play at Comrie Croft again.
Thanks to all the organisers. Still smiling here!
That would be a good thing! The meltdown wasn’t the best way to end it, but not entirely unexpected with the exhaustion levels.
Another thumbs up from family swavis! A great event and we'll definitely be returning next year if it's back.
I think my two were addicted to the pump track, even during the Saturday downpour they barely left it, unless it was to go on the quad train 😉
