[Closed] Crackly CD Mystery

For some reason one of my fave CDs has suddenly become really crackly and hissy when playing it on my home system. No scratches or anything, and it seems to be all the way through. not the jumps you get with dirt or scratches. Was playing fine up until today.

Only thing I can think of is that it's been left in a CD wallet in my van for the last couple of weeks, and we've had warm days alternating with some quite cold nights - would extremes of temperature have affected it in any way?

If it's knackered, then I'll get onto Amazon, but just really curious what has caused it.
