Touchy subject and I'll probably get a flaming for this given the sensitivities, but I'm already a big fan of the court artist and wondering if anyone looks vaguely like their court artist portrait.

But this latest one "Three women in court over terror offences" has taken the genre to new levels.

At least the lady on the left had the decency to wear green to provide some contrast.

The problem with pastel drawings is it always looks like a children's book to me, not a great children's book but certainly educational.

Not a great sketch, looks like the 'green one' is wearing a welder's mask.

Why are they allowed to cover their faces in court?

Oh dear. You have awoken the wrath of the STW Left Wing Hand Wringers.

I give it 5 pages and "strawman" and "troll" to be called within 2.

IIRC the artists are only give a short time to be in court. They've then got to work from memory.

That woman welder's guilty, sure as eggs is eggs ๐Ÿ˜€

The lady on the right looks properly pissed off. Middle woman has a look of shock in her eyes and it would appear that Isaac Clarke from Dead Space has found his way to the space station courtroom.

Surely Ned Kelly has already been found guilty?

Well that case will fail if an identity parade is required.

That's a fun one.

2014, Baroness Hale, Deputy President of the Supreme Court, said ways have "got to be found" to ensure that face coverings are removed for key parts of court hearings.

2015, Lord Neuberger, President of the Supreme Court, said women who choose to wear religious veils in court must be shown respect and that judges must have "an understanding of different cultural and social habits".

All very tricky.

I'd love to be a court artist. Just think, getting paid to draw AND getting to meet your favourite 70's tv personalities!

Surely it's not important for the judiciary and jury to gauge emotions or responses by looking at their faces like humanbeens and other species have been conditioned to do for zillenia. Just wire them up to a HRM or allow them to be smelt or touched to gauge physical responses. I'm guessing that's not allowed either. Oh we'll never mind.

SuperLOL at Ned Kelly comment!!
