Nice work! I'm 1.5kg down but as light as I've been in ages. Hopefully it continues.
Good luck everyone!
2kg off here, although I did cheat and start on New Year’s Day. Going to increase my calories a bit and try and keep the weekly weight loss at 0.5kg max
I came off the wagon a bit last night.
My Mrs fancied a curry, which never happens and was too good an opportunity to miss. I don't even regret it, it was bloody amazing. Then I had an hour of zwift for desert.
Down to 80.8kg from 85. I did stop drinking new year's Day though!
Not weighed myself yet, but feel 1lb lighter.

Not weighed myself yet, but feel 1lb lighter.
This could totally screw up my calculations!
Hmmm... My scales appear to be stuck. Same weight as last week, within 0.1kg.
Ho hum; at least it hasn't gone up.
Up 0.4kg, but have had a lot of birthday cake and meals out since Monday.
2kg lost here - pretty happy with that considering I've not commuted by bike as much as I wanted due to the weather and also ended up having fish and chips Tuesday night and the work canteen curry for lunch yesterday.
13st 8.5 here, down since the start but up since last Friday, which I didn't declare anyway. Not been a good week, but still -1.5lb since 2/1
Convince me I'm on track.....
Well done all, good stuff !
3kg lost here although I started 2nd Jan. well pleased. quite enjoying the challenge actually. remind me of that in a week please
Down 3kg here, first time I've been below 90kg this century (I started about the end of November when I was knocking on the for of 100kg)!!
Funny thing is I'm finding it fairly easy as well.... Lots of eggs, veg, meat and fish but no bread, rice, pasta, biscuits etc.
Feeling good 🙂
Well done all
I’ve managed to lose 6.3 kg this week, I do have a shitload to lose but hoping to keep it up. I’ve been using MFP as others have suggested and doing 5 by 2
You guys get up waaaay too early!!
Measuring since 1st Jan - Initial drop is always encouraging but mainly water (loss is a loss though)
Any..hows it =
-4.3kg
or
-9lbs
or
³/?? of a Jamie
😀
We can't sleep because we're hungry
I actually go to bed earlier due to hunger. it's relief.
also first up first to the bakery
1kg exactly since last week. Only started my current diet plan on about Tuesday and it was my birthday Wednesday... So as long as it's going in the right direction though I hope things will be a bit more rapid from here on
It's been a proper messy scramble for me this week to keep near my calorie goal.
I've been snacking at work (my co-workers keep bringing in lots of left over chocolate/short bread/toffee etc..., the bastards!), so have been adjusting rides home and what I have for tea to try and compensate! It's gone to plan less than it hasn't!
Down to 101.1 kg from 103 though, so I'm pretty happy! 🙂
Coming down with yet another cold tough, so this weekend is going to suck exercise wise. 🙁
Plan has been: No booze, little/no carbs except to allow myself a slice of toast for breakfast, otherwise normal size meals, just add more veggies. The house is full of sweets and cake and biscuits left over from xmas - including a 4.5 Kg Toblerone so they a bit of a temptation since I work from home.
I haven't added any exercise yet, I sit on the sofa all day using the laptop so I'm hoping to increase the calorie deficit a bit when I get the time to get out there and move about a bit.
Down to 113.3kgs (249lbs) from 115.8 (255lbs) after the first week, which is a great start but there's a way to go yet. I put on 300g since yesterday which is a bit frustrating but that's what I get for eating scotch eggs for an afternoon snack.
Keep it up everyone!
Scales on order. Also went for a ride yesterday; cracked out a whole 5.5 miles...
You have to start somewhere.
Marcgear: ditch the bread - I think it's a big factor and just have the eggs and not what'd around it (although if it's sausagemeat it should be OK).
I work from home too and it can be an issue, but I've been busy in a remote office all week which has made life easier.
I've not started exercise yet and expect an even bigger drop when that starts. I may rethink my target downwards.
put on 300g since yesterday
not quite sure it works like that... see the bigger picture. Keep up the good work
Marcgear - My breakfasts have been largely based around poached eggs, bacon with the fat cut off and avocado/spinach instead of bread. Keeps me full up for a LOT longer.
Saying that I'm running on nought but coffee this morning (OK, so i'm probably running on last nights curry 😀
Also, as someone else that generally works from home, I'd recommend taking a look at the Zwift thread. It's surprisingly easy to get an hours exercise in when it's all set up in the garage.
You guys get up waaaay too early!!
Got to be early to get my vigorous aerobics in.

Your overall trend is downwards which is good. I fully expect to have a few blips and increases but if it isn’t going up you’re on the right track, and you have a sustainable eating pattern.
Adding a small amount of extra exercise may be all you need
Thanks for the advice but the toast stays. I love bread. There's no way I'm cutting it out entirely. We bake all own bread, so it's not full of the crap you get in supermarket bread. Also I do pair it with healthy proteins like eggs or ham. Carbs are evil but delicious.
1.8KG off this week - happy with that
I haven't quite made my target for this week, but I had been on diuretics for a medical condition, I stopped taking them on Wednesday, so I probably have lost the fat but have a bit more fluid in me.
No loss this week, but no gain either. In the middle of moving house/living with parents for a spell, they're feeders, it's cold outside and I don't have all my stuff, so being lazy and eating too much. My only source of non bike exercise seems like it might not be an option after this week too.......
New digs next week and a new bike to boot, should kick on I hope.
I'll admit now that I'm sort of cheating in that I started my diet in October, then put a reasonably chunk back on over Christmas. Pleased that I'm back to 1lb over where I was in mid December before all the bingeing started.
Couple of pounds off, back to my last pretty Christmas weight now.
Went from last year at 14.5 stone to 11.12 then 12.5 at Christmas to 12 last week now back to 11.12
So it's like starting afresh from where I left off now 🙂
There are some great results on here - well done all! Only 1kg here but I'm pretty please with that because I was away in London at the weekend and seemed to be eating constantly, and only managed to get on the trainer once. Hoping for a bigger loss next week.
Pre Christmas not pretty Christmas damn auto correct
Nothing lost for me in first week, have upped gym attendance and been eating better, also cut booze. Must just be fat turning into muscle right?
One thing that is annoying me, is the last time I was this weight I was cycling and running loads, and it appears I was a lot leaner. Guess had more weight in legs/glute muscles.
Now I seem to have a lot more belly fat so may have to adjust my target to compensate.
Bah (sugar free) Humbug.
Me too [make my own bread] but it's been the biggest weight loser I believe for me. I'll be back on it if I ever reach <85kgI love bread. There's no way I'm cutting it out entirely. We bake all own bread
I bought some crackers to replace bread. Turns out even dry crackers taste good with a centimetre of salted butter on top 🙁
Great numbers on here. I've managed to shed 1.2kg this week, which I'm happy with.
My eating has been getting progressively more 'on-track' as the wee has gone on, so good signs.
Matt
For some additional motivation I just entered the ballot for the Fred Whitton.
just over a kg for me over the week, so not unhappy with that.
already thinking about really short nail cutting and whether I can manage without a couple of fillings I've got to try and kick on again next week.......
Just over 2kg here which is pretty good considering I only managed 1 commute.
Trying to decide if I should have my first drink in a fortnight now!
I missed one of the lunch components out from yesterdays MFP list. It nagged me that I hadn't eaten enough for the day! An interesting experience.
Some cracking weight loss this week!
2lb off for me, not the best start but a loss is a loss. Lots of excuses, Christmas stuff still around, seeing family etc but essentially I ate too too much, pure and simple. No exercise at all so that's what I need to sort this week.
5.4lbs in ten days, so very happy with that! 😀
But it's the weekends that I need to watch...the desire for cake and beers is sometimes too strong at the weekends!
Forgive me [s]Fatter[/s] Father, for I have sinned.
I had a pizza last night.
Also, Battle Of The Sexes is a really good film.
