My sons been going on about visiting Corby skate park this summer. Going to take my Mtb , is there anything around the area worth checking out. Also looking at staying somewhere in the countryside, lodge/cottage? Any ideas?

Fineshade woods is nearby, as is Rutland water (neither are particularly great, but better than nothing). Plenty of good cottages to rent in rutland, not too far to drive to any of these if you base yourself in Uppingham or near there.
