All you masterchefers out there who are you backing in tonights final cook off?

Daniel. This guy knows flavours, but his pudding lets him down. On the night if he keeps it together could be a safe bet.

Marianne. Female Jamie Oliver. Classic dishes, feminine presentation, but her meat lets her down. Makes simple mistakes, but I think MRjr has the hots for her, so could just edge it.

Steve. Inventive but sometimes takes it too far. Timing is an issue but comes up with some sublime dishes. On his game he's the one to watch.

12hrs and counting...........

Steve all the way....he's been consistently of a very high standard and as the other catch up he has already moved on. His sweets pudding looked fabulous

some of the stuff they're making looks vile. My wife loves these programs but half the time it looks like they're on a different planet to me. One of them made a nice looking choclate pudding last night, I'd go with that one. I'd be a rubbish judge, anything with fish in it would fail because fish is manky (I really cannot understand how anyone can eat the stuff), anyone who gave me chocolate would win.

Steve will win it I think. His creativity is head and shoulders above the rest.

Marianne is brilliant at pastry but I don't think she's cooked any meat dish properly as yet.

Daniel is a decent all rounder but he's not on the same level as Steve.

I hated Masterchef until I started watching this professionals thing the last couple of weeks. Now I've got quite into it.

If I had to put money on I'd go for Steve. Assuming they're judging them on the whole of this last week.

That's the same with Greg 'mmmm I could easily eat the whole plate' Wallace, that boy loves his puddings.

Daniel should win. hes producing michilin quality food on a regular basis now. Steve is too hit and miss, and I've got a feeling he'll blow it big time tonight

Very difficult to choose between them. At a push I'd say Steve but the standard is truly immense. Looking forward to watching it tonight!

I am sure it will be one of these three 😛

I would like to see Michel Roux Jnr's sous chef back on as a judge she was ****in scary 👿 I wouldn't like to work under her 😥

For me, Daniel is the most competent chef, he has gone long strides to bring his desserts up to scratch and seems able to add new skills quickly. His food is the most reliably up to standard and responds the best to the pressure.

Marianne I'm afraid does nothing for me, maybe she has been working for other people too long? Undeniably a great classic chef, but trying to add any flair to a dish seems to result in catastrophy. Gets in a flap very easily.

Steve. Hit and miss, but probably the only one whose restaurant I'd purposely seek out and eat at. Creative and zany without going all Heston.

Cooking does get better. Years ago I watched a topless Jo Guest making pizzas on 'Men and Motors'. Quality.

I'd eat Marianne's beef any day, not matter how pink it was 😀

Steve- the reason? Hes pushing the boundaries- and overstepping them at times. Hes hitting the brief or at least stepping upto the line.

Who will win though?
Marianne- they need a female winner
Daniel because he does what is asked- but nothing more.

Pity as Steve really stuck his neck out with the sweet shop idea. Most of those cooks might have had the thought but darent try it.

Ludo disappointed me. He was my fave 🙁

Well- we'll see. Tonights could swing things umpteen ways seeing as they have to cook for soo many deal-breakers.....

Agree there Hora, I was expecting great things of Ludo. Bit too laid back in the end...

Remember the smoke on the starter- EVERYONE was 😯 'WOW'- 'we havent seen this before' etc. Then he went all lazy-ass FFS.

It's 90mins long this evening! Tinker-belle is utterly absorbed by the show but a week of the final has driven me to distraction! Steve will win if he can rein things in a mite.

If that dosey joker mouthed bint wins it I'm going to cry fix and write to complain the the BBC (Daily Mail style) she shouldn't have got through the last round as there was at least one chef who was better than her...... i know about these things 🙄

She has made ALOT of basic and glaring mistakes. The worse (Palm/forehead) was the 'the meat is cooked but shes not even bothered to trim any of the veg'- que her going through against...... Ludo?

Must admit, during the programme I wanted ALL 3 to win, then towards the end Marianne and Steve. The right person won in the end. I guess all three are 'winners' though- they will have Michelin-offers and/or Marianne will have a brilliant marketing tool for her business.

the non-pro winner Evil Ming the merciless is now working for Raymond Blanc?

The indivdual profile section put me right off Marianne.

Well done to Steve, i think he deserved it. You're right Hora, all 3 have increased their profiles.

Do you think the program makers stretched out the show- laboured the format too much? They could have lopped a couple of the sections out- it just felt too long.

Steve was the right choice, no question. However the other two have done themselves no harm whatsoever and are both excellent chefs. Really enjoyed that.

Theres toom for a new format- masterchef 'student cooking'...

It got a fantastic review in the Guardian, too.

Same here and the fact her challenge for the Pro chefs was a lot more straight forward than Daniels and Steves.

Shame the Geordie didn't wind being frmo the NE but Steve was better last night. Apparently Daniel now has a job in Michelles restaurant.

Steve was clearly the winner right from the start. M R Jnr had a twinkle in his eye every time he was talking to him and the sense of humour in his cooking clearly struck a note with his cheeky side (pink pralines and space dust anyone?)

Actually your right- he said classic cooking- yes but he wanted experimental as well- Steve pushed it waaaaay beyond on the smoked starter (the critics faces) and then the sweetshop where he went too far but his balls were hanging out. I was gobsmacked at his risk

His mums pudding though- it looked (and sounded on paper) dull at this late stage of the comp- look what he did with it!

Just shows his utter-self belief doesnt it.
