Oh Diddly squat the cooker has gone belly up so close to xmas
and the SO is revolting .
I want to mend it SO wants a new one .
Who makes a good cooker these days not built in and not with eye level grill .
also dual fuel or gas or leccy
and which to avoid

If electric, can't you just replace the element? £10 and 15 minutes work if that.
