I know, it's easily done, but this one's got me.
5 pcs of 4500x200X200 @ 150kg (each) to Birmingham as 465GBP4pcs of 4500X350X350 @ 140kg (each) to Birmingham as 850GBP
I'm trying to write a quote and got these two quotes from the same logistic company within 24 hrs of each other. The previously on the ball salesman/contact has now gone strangely quiet when I asked about the difference.
There is something wrong here, isn't there? Or have I gone mad?
On the second (at 850) the boxes are higher volume. Sometimes the volume is used instead of weight for transport quotes. Seems mental though.
I offered that as a reason when I asked him as that's the only increase I can see, this was just before the silence. 😕
I guess I'm more perplexed by the lack of response than anything. And would that account for an almost 400GBP increase?
it's over twice the volume, so twice the price
