Don't know whether I'm just lucky, or Worcester is full of chavs, but today I've seen both P555EYS (On an L200 Pickup Truck) and PU51LOV (on an old BMW 3 series).
Now I've got nothing against personalised plates per se, but surely nobody is that vulgar? Or do you think they're both Big Cat lovers? 😉
The thing that amused me most though, in the BMW you might have expected some wannabe wide boy or porn star driving it, but no, it was a Blonde Lady in her mid/late 40's looking like she was doing the school run!
Anyway... Anyone else seen anything similarly crass recently?
Saw A2 WAT years ago. 🙂
All personal number plates read ****ER to me....bloody pointless things.
One I saw a few years ago made me laugh. Not ****ish, but amusing: N33 NAA
It was on a car parked at the rear of Trinity Road Police station in Bristol.
I also saw H1 MUM on a car on the M4 which also made me smile.
M1NGE knocking round Manchester on a Beemer last time I saw it
A white Triumph Stag driven by a MILF with the reg PEN 15, or so my brother told me in about 1980....assuming MILF's existed in the 80's.
I still hope it's true.
I'd love one, OMG and WTF are still pretty cheap
L8 Mum on a R Series Merc dropping kids off to private school in Musselburgh...
There's a few I've seen that amuse me - like HA51 LEG on a tiptronic 911 Turbo belonging to a bloke who did indeed have only one leg.
Good ones work without stupid spacing or screws in the way, but are few and far between. There's 228 pages of bad ones here: http://pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=814906
I remember a red Toyota Supra round Stourbridge when I was (a lot) younger 'COM 1C' (I think it was Jim Davidson driving).
There's a big 4x4 running around Stockport
P1KEY
We used to have GAY 69 come into the garage I worked at and I saw GG WIN on a Bentley on the motorway.
I've seen M1NGE in several times as well but it was probably 15 years ago. It was on an M3 then a Range Rover.
My dad had "R3" for a few years. He'd always had a thing for the number 3 , and R is his initial. The plate has some interesting history too: first used for the 3rd car ever to be registered in Derbyshire.
It cost more than the car he put it on, which I thought was completely nuts. Then he pointed out that the car lost 25% of its value as soon as it left the forecourt, but the plate: it doesn't depreciate, it doesn't have running costs, you don't have to insure it because no-one can steal it (they can steal £12 of plastic, but not the registration). Hmmm...
He sold it after a while because he thought it was a bit much and he'd had his fun. Got more than he paid for. He's replacing the car sometime soon because it's edging past economical repair after 15 years.
Unlike the right to display a piece of plastic with certain characters on it, which is still going strong, 100+ years later.
Sometimes, the stupid things aren't that stupid...
I knew of a dentist with CAV17Y
And B16 0MAR drives around Nottingham - I understand he is the producer and star of gentlemen's special interest movies, but haven't dared Google to check

Funnily enough my Dad managed to get a good one ages ago, pretty personal to him at least. And not at all crude. He paid £3k for BON3S about 12 years ago, only 3 years later he was offered £10k for it!
He's still got the plate now, no idea what it's worth, but seeing as personal plates only ever seem to go up in value, not down, I'd imagine it's worth a LOT more than the car it's on currently (his wife's 12 year old Merc SLK).

That's a bit like someone buying a share if facemash.com and claiming it was a smart investment because it turned into facebook.com
FA51CAR on an Aston Martin last time i saw it. Doubt it helps chat your way out of a ticket tho'
The other one i used to see was H15AGA not sure if the wife had a new cooker or the owner was headed for retirement
M7 TOY on an old bosses M3, git
Seen B1 GAL round Blackpool a few times, driven by a nice looking lass.

Rumour has it PEN 1S (or PEN 15?) belongs to Steve Parrish and/or his missus?
Ive lost the pic but next door has 'H8 CRC'.

You've lost me I'm afraid...
He didn't buy it as an investment, he bought it cos he wanted it, but the knowledge that it's worth significantly more than he paid for it is always good if he needed to cash it in for whatever reason...

I mean that it's great it's worth more but he couldn't have possibly known that this would happen. But like you said, the only justification you need to buy one is because you want it.
G4NJA is the best one I've ever seen, on a dodgy beaten-up old red Sierra-type thing that was always driving around Finsbury Park years ago. The local kids used to flag him down like an ice-cream van, god knows how he avoided getting nicked...
somebody on here had COT 1C i lol'ed when i read about that.

I think it's Jimmy Tarbuck's number

M155 PVC - on a powder blue BMW 2 seater leaving a Novotel just off the A1. Driver might have been an industrial chemist, but looked more like she provided specialised personal services for the discerning executive.

There are a couple of Glasgow taxis with T4CSE and T8CSE.
why do you give a AFOK? get over it.
it's a person with lesser feelings about themselves trying to make themselves better. Don't worry about it.
Well we’ve both seen your personalised reg plates
And it’s not the worst crime I agree
But we both know full well that it really should spell
T-W-A-T-O-N-E.
fairly well known knee surgeon in Glasgow has a lovely R8 with '4 ACL' on it.....my BUPA contributions probably paid for the '4'
PEN15 recently seen in Dunstable - on a Smart !
W33 NOB - TVR Falkirk.
M1 NCE - Butchers van, Camelon.
The 4 ACL bloke fixed my shoulder year before last at Kings Park.
zigzag - he has done 3 arthroscopies on my knees too ! I lust after that Audi 😛
Saw these two parked in the car park at Inners on an uplift day:
S1 MTB, & C9 UNT.
P 15 SED on a 911 8)
Iainc - he's about to get some repeat business from me some point soon too. Other shoulder needs a bit of work. 3 cheers for BUPA.
