[#4074652]

I have a path about 1m wide and 20m long. All overgrown and I need to clear.

What is easiest option, I was thinking strim back, clear, weed membrane then mulch, i.e. suffocation. That was mainly to let me not bother digging.

Will that work? Other ideas? Would prefer to stay clear of dumping loads of weedkiller - proximity to flowerbeds, lawn etc.

Burn it.

We could stand at the side with pitchforks when you do...

Flame thrower, or rock salt, and water it

+1 for Rock Salt / Dish washer salt (you'll never grow anything else there again)

Glyphosate would cause no ill effects to the other plants in your garden, unless you spray it on them as well. Salt will! I recon your origional plan is pretty much spot on!!

I wonder if stone/gravel would be better on top of the weed membrane rather than mulch?
