Should I and if so anyone got any tips it's a gauze style one looks like metal but might be plastic

Put it in the dishwasher every now and then, that's what I do with the hot mud maker at work.
For people who spend an inordinately large amount of time telling other people quite what gourmands they are, and how they only the buy the best of everything etc etc, the majority of the people I work with are amazingly prepared to drink the most disgusting, badly brewed, burnt coffee ever drunk outside of a French hotel's breakfast buffet.
