Anybody use a chromebook? My daughter has spotted them and seems to think they are the biz, and wants one, I've looked into them and can see a few plus points but potential for plenty negatives as well, I do think that the idea behind them is spot on but would like to hear from anyone who has actually had the use of one for their opinion,

From what I gather, the biggest negative is that there's no native storage, all storage, and apps as well, IIRC, are web-based, so an always-on network connection is essential.
The review I saw was by a bloke who's decidedly Android/Google biased, and even he felt he couldn't use one day-to-day.
I could be wrong, and maybe it was just that particular model.
