So the curse of Christmas has hit and I'm down with the sniffles.

So, will staying off the booze tonight speed my recovery or should I just crack something open?

If so what booze for medicinal purposes, wine, cider or spirits??

I also have the cat AIDS (the good type, I think).

Couldn't be less bothered about drinking, and the thought of a hangover the next day is rather unpalatabe. Also means I can't be arsed to go out on the bike and risk escalating to bad cat AIDS.

I doubt the boze will make a jot of difference to your recovery time one way or the other. However, it'll stop you caring for a bit.

Hot toddies FTW.

Felt awfull all day yesterday, sore head, sore throat, sore cough.
Had been looking forward to family get together so thought stuff it, & after a few beers I felt fine...
Till about 3am, waking in a strange house feeling like death. Luckily managed to unearth some paracetamol & after a few pints of water & a sit in the conservatory I dozed for an hour.
Feeling better today, was determined not to spend whole day cabaging so took kids out for a ride earlier.
So no, abstain & get an early night...
