China pronunciation for Trump (in that odd child like way he says the name) in case he is watching.😉
Amazing to watch, scroll down from first GIF to close up of how they "walk" the building to new site.
It's been saved as in urban China, an 85 year old building is now classed as historic as the cities have basically been rebuilt in the last few decades.
Don’t know why they bothered, looks worse than the shit holes we had in the seventies.
Still pretty cool though.
Amazing feat, pity the cost probably could have built a new better building
Impressive. That's how they built the Millau viaduct too...made the road in sections, along with the suspension cables to support it, and 'walked it out over the span to the next pillar then beyond. I love a good Civil Engineering project.
Interesting that they cast those slabs immediately before driving the school over the top of them. Assuming that the time lapse was contiguous and the move didn't take place over about a month. I would assume that, heritage notwithstanding, a fairly important politician went to school there.
At Millau theyassembled each half of the bridge deck with masts and cable stays in sections on each side of the valley and then drove them out across the piers to join in the middle. A bit like thrust boring, but through air not ground.
