Is it possible to do this? I know you can find a lot of information about cars through the DVLA and other registration based checks, but is it possible to actually see the details of the registered keeper?
I had a chance meeting with someone I passed on the way home the other day, driving what was the exact same make, model and colour of five series beamer my dad owned back in the mid 80s. In conversation with him (I flagged him down and we had a lovely chat in a layby off the A23 near Brighton) it turns out that the car was originally sold by Williams of Manchester, where my dad got his car from. There's a small chance it's his actual car and it would be amazing to confirm that if it is!
I was speaking to the DVLA today to try and see if a previous tenants vehicle was still registered at my address (as I'm getting lots of congestion charge fines sent here) and they said that under GDPR they were no longer able to give out any personal details for previous keepers etc.
