Something under a £100?
I believe it would useful to be expandable or at least 16Gb internal storage. User is familiar with android, and not one for change, so would prefer to avoid windows phones unless there 'brilliant'. No special requirements, just want a smart phone for email, internet & Mp3's.
What the latest options?

.. he's already had a one 2nd hand phone die on him, so new is a must.

When I needed a new phone, I'd seen the letters "Moto G" typed so often in this forum, I just zombie-ordered one.

It's bloody great. They're available for about £110.

You can use a flash drive with a USB OTG cable with the moto g. Not as convenient as an SD card obviously, but if its just for music in the car and the like, its perfectly fine

I had a samsung galaxy y to put me on as i broke my phone but wanted to wait until the S5 was launched before i upgraded. The internets quite slow but it's a nice size and has space for a memory card. Prices vary but it can be had for around £40.

sorry but I saw moto g remecommended on here so much I got one too. And what a bobby bargain, cheers STW, makes my iphone4 look like the dinosaur it is.

I believe that with a bit of creativity you can get the 16 for 129 via Tesco.
