Been wearing barefoot shoes for a while now and very sold on the concept.
However, they are usually quite flimsy which is to be expected.
There seems to be a number of cheaper brands cropping up. Usually on Facebook which I'm sceptical of
Anyone tried the likes of Hobibear, Naturcontact, Saguro or the like?
Mrs PB and I have both got Suguro shoes, they are quite robust and much cheaper than the trendy version. I'm driving the length of France in mine tomorrow so find them pretty comfy
Maybe try and find a pair of Inov8 evo skins on eBay?

Hobibewr are 'fine' but make crocs look like a pair of handmade derbys.
Hobibear are fine. They do quite a large range now, all around £40-50.

Quality seems a bit hit and miss.
Myself and the GF have a pair of walky boots, but different designs. Hers the glue holding the sole to the upper is giving up in places. On mine it's stitched and I pack it full of dubbing.
I've a pair of Saltic the least year or so. Outdoorsy robustness, yet supple. Found in a shop in France for 80€.
Also have a pair of Leguano which are very thin and are akin to wearing socks.
My problem is I very rarely wear shoes. Either barefoot or barefoot with very thin flip-flops.
In summer the only shoes I wear regularly are my 5:10s or disco slippers.
I’ve got a couple of pairs from Amazon that I’ve been wearing for a year or so, I wear them around the house and garden, and for that they’re pretty comfortable, although I wouldn’t like to wear them for any distance; however a friend of mine has a pair, it was hers that prompted me to buy a pair, and she wears them constantly. They’re Hike Barefoot shoes, £14.99

Thanks all. Just looking for something to wear around the office/depot so 8 don't have to spend all day in safety boots. Seems little point spending 3 figures on the trendy ones just for that.
Beware of the soles on the shoes that CountZero posted a photo of, as you can see the little holes in them for water to drain out of as I think they are barefoot 'aqua'? shoes, this means that water can also get in, if you step in puddles etc.
A pair of mine are like that, so I assume they are.

I've got shoes and a pair of canvas boots, all costing less than £20 each, and I don't wear anything else now (except for certain locations at work were I'm in safety shoes, and flip-flops occasionally, and motorcycle boots).
I've been wearing them since April and hike regularly in them, and they're lasting well, my everyday shoes have been through the washing machine too.
I got mine from Lidls. They’re meant for water sports. But seem to offer more articulation than trainers.
