Does anyone know if the Charing Cross (Glasgow) roadworks have finished? Not the ongoing chaos that is the M8 in that area – but the stuff around Woodlands Road, St George's Road, North Street. I think they were due to finish in December, and can’t find anything about them on the Scottish Road Works Commissioner page, but just wondering if anyone has seen with their own eyes that they've been completed before I venture forth. Thanks!

Recent Reddit post suggests it is?

Georges  Rd was back open both directions this week.   Can't say if everything is finished but not the mega chaos it was for a couple of months.

I'm looking forward to giving that a go. Horrible junction as CC. Not so bad coming out of Woodlands Rd going towards Sauchiehall St, but going the other way is a bit of a nightmare. Cycle route there is long overdue

It is a useful improvement   I go through from Sauchiehall Street to St Georges Rd once a week or so.   Pre-improvement I used the pavement to the right of the new cycle path in the pic.  No problem but it is a busy bit of the city and mixing bikes and peds on a narrow pavement wasn't ideal.  The road has only been narrowed from three lanes to two so no effect on traffic either as the roads feeding south into it are one or two lanes. .  The kind of re-allocation of space from car to bike that should have been done years ago.
