Going in a few weeks and a holiday isn't a holiday without a nice roast.
Recommendations please.
I don't know many in the immediate area but a short drive is the Candlelight Inn at Churchinford. A bit pricier but great food. Their Sunday roast sharing boards are epic.
Or up on the Blackdowns is the Holman. Good food and home of Tricky cider. Can also have a walk before or after at Castle Neroche.
Strong recommend for the Cotley Inn at Wambrook. Served me an OMGXBOXHUEG roast.
Cathead inn chissleborough (sp?), has been good recently (I’ve been off meat for a few years but in laws rate it) Muddled man in west chinnock is a ok but a bit more basic. Crewkerne is a dump ymmv.
The old dairy in martock is worth a visit for food, not a roastie, but they are a bit slow
