Changes In Glen Feshie

It’s amazing to see the change in the Glen Feshie wider area from the 19th early 20th century to today. An example I was amazed at was there used to be shinty teams at Invereshie and Drumguish. There must have been thriving communities there employed on the Duke of Gordon’s estate and the other adjoining estates like Balavil. Now we have only a smattering of houses at Invereshie and Drumguish. They are more tiny hamlets than villages. I’d imagine there is no way I’d be allowed to ride my bike or walk freely in those glens 100 years ago.

Wildland Scotland (who own Glens Feshie and Tromie) have a pretty much zero tolerance approach to red deer.

I just spotted this.   The spot I was at by Ben Hope had signs up from "the wildland team" soI guess that its iwned by the same folk hence the natural looking regeneration

Yes. They would have been neighbours of the Sutherland spaceport had that not been pulled.
