Just watching the coverage of Tirreno Adriatico. How much longer must we put up with his inane, shouty commentary? He's a pilchard.
He can irritate, but he can also be entertaining:
This one's quite good.
He's not too bad on the cycling. I remember him doing a few motogp rounds a while back and that was bloody awful.
Thanks for that Alex!!
It's a cracker isn't it Ian!
I likes him me.
Prefer the the other 2, mumbly Irish ex-pro and enthusiastic know-it-all, they have a better rapport.
(David Harmon & Sean Kelly)
Its interesting when Harmon passes comment on those riders with 'history' the silence from Sean Kelly is deafening.
I laughed at that tour of turkey finish. Carlton excelled himself there, he was on form though, he wasn't aware the leader had got up after he came off!

sean kelly rode for PDM

i leave it to others to see if there is any possible connection.
Kirby's alright when he does his "man in the studio doing research throwing in the odd mildly amusing anecdote" during the TdF. Crap main commentator though.
The new guy Rob Hatch seems pretty good, although he seems determined to use the native tongue rather than English-ing names. Ah jay derz ar.
I've been watching the Tirreno Adriatico this week on Eurosport with Anthony McCrossan and Magnus Backstedt as the commentators 😕
Anthony McCrossan and Magnus Backstedt
McCrossan is trying very hard to be the next Liggett, he can't identify the riders, generally mumbles rubbish. Unfortunately looks like we are stuck with him as he is well stitched into the "scene"
I agree that Rob Hatch seems to be quite promising
I find Kirby infuruating.
I agree about Rob Hatch, very good, which only serves to highlight how poor Kirby is.
