My NSF tyre is wearing on the shoulders. Pressures are correct. What do I need to get checked?
Alignment?
Tracking?
I don't think it is balance, although there is a very slight vibro through the steering wheel at about 70mph when fully loaded. Nothing when not loaded.

Wear on one side of the tyre is usually the toe thats out. Just get the alignment re-done...

Buy a new pressure gauge and put the correct pressure in. Both sides wearing is to low pressure in the tyre. Or ignore what it says and stick more in.

Pressures are identical on SKS Digital pressure thing, my air compressor airline, and the track pump. I don't think it is a pressure issue. It could be a faulty tyre, but I doubt it.

I guess it is tracking that needs checked. Kwik fit tomorrow...

If there's anywhere I'd avoid unless I wanted to be told my tracking was out, I should get 4 new tyres and then they totally screw up a well aligned car, it's Kwik fit!!

Don't trust their judgement, alignment processes or ability to do just about anything. I wouldn't even trust them to fix a puncture (they'd insist I needed a new tyre first! ).

If I were you, I'd look up a local tyre specialist that can do alignment properly. Ignore the big names. Go for someone who actually cares about getting repeat custom.

Alternatively, do let us know how you get on...and how many times you need to visit until the issue gets resolved.

Nsf wears the most as weight transfer on roundabouts loads that tyre.

Normally feathers the outside edge much faster

Run flat tyres? Happens to mine, tracking helped a bit but still happens. Rear wheeled drive BMW.

Kwik Fit sometimes know what they're doing. I think a lot of them have decent Hunter rigs so if you can find a branch which has someone who knows how to use it, you shouldn't get the default "4 new tyres, wheels, windscreen and your exhaust is blowing" kinda stuff.

What tyres are they? My Fabia wears out the left tyres due to roundabouts fast if they're budget or a softish compound. Since fitting Goodyears the issue has gone away. The Uniroyals I had before showed nearly 2mm difference by the time they were due for replacement!

Find an independent tyre fitter with a hunter alignment setup and have front and rear adjusted. Chains like quick fit, national tyres etc are a lottery and you could come out with it worse than you went in. It'll make a noticeable difference to the cars handling and to your long term tyre bill too.

Places like kwik fit, national tyres, farmers autocare are aiming to get £700 out of every customer through the door.
A local independent garage that a couple of friends recommend will almost always do a better job, and be better value.

4 wheel alignment £80. Apparently there was something wrong at the rear, and something else needed adjustment. Usually I would ask A LOT of questions, but felt awkward wearing a mask and being inside a shop for the first time in months.

Time will tell if it is sorted I guess.
