This AM my wifes I20 (2015) developed a fault with the wipers, they would not turn off constant, even when the key was removed they ran for 20 seconds or so and stopped mid wipe (45 degrees). This went on for 10 mins or so and then stopped, the TPMS light came on on the dash even though all tyres were fine!
Any ideas?

I had similar on a new bmw m3. It was the squib? Which I seem to remember is an acronym something like the steering wheel input sensor. It houses a sensor that tells the car the steering input and also houses the stalk controls. When it failed the wipers wouldn’t go off and various other systems went crazy.

Makes sense! lots in that stalk area - including cruise control etc
