Looking for somewhere quiet, near a beach with good swimming and all at a reasonable price!
Thanks

The back end of Santorini, perfect beach, mill pond calm sea, great food.

The caldera side is a lot busier.

Kefalonia, I think I stayed in Poros? One of the most beautiful islands.

You wont go far wrong even on Crete wherever you stay.

Mrs notlocal and I stayed here a few years back and loved it. A 15 min walk along the sea front to Gouves town, if that's your thing. Or stay local and eat in the taverna at the apt or just down the road. The locals all eat there as the food is top notch.

I went to Puerto Pollensa a few years ago in Mallorca- was nice. Good beach, good food, not too noisy, loads of boat trips and lots of San Miguel. Cant be bad.
I went for £400 for too weeks for two of us. Thats £100 each a week. Included flights- self catering with Thompson.
See if theres some deals floating around 😉

Add the Croatian coastline into your hunt, went last October and the sea was still lovely to swim in, fantastic coast too. We stayed on an island called Lopud through thomson. I'd go back if ii wasn't planning Iceland this year.

Santorini (bit breezy) is nice but I prefer Paros

really though, just get to Piraeus Port, Athens.. jump on a ferry and then when a likely looking island takes your fancy jump off and head to the campsite/beach/bar/hotel.. after a few days, if the atmosphere on the Island isn't to your liking.. book on the next ferry out and start again..

When I went at the end of the 90s the ferries were cheaper than a UK taxi home at the end of a night out

Black beaches in Santorini - nice but not 'typical' sandy beach holiday.

Zante, Paros, Aegina (Agia Marina), Crete, Skopolos (some beaches there used loads in films for their golden sands) - all have some wonderful beaches.

Ohh, and Paxos (below Corfu) - some lovely places there.

So not just me then 🙂 making me want to go back - island hopped in 1990 and done most of the commercialised islands and Paxos did stand out.
