I'm after a bog standard home printer, which will also be able to print the odd picture or two, and don't want to spend more in toner cartridges than the printer is worth! What would you recommend?

Epson Stylus Photo R285 is about £65, you can get cheap carts for it of eBay

The Canon Pixma 4600 is excellent, great quality and fast too
Bargain at £99 or less
