Vulcanised the rubber I think is the answer. You may need a patch behind to create a lap joint?

Is it actually “rubber”? Not all elastomers* behave the same way.

Nice, clean dungeon. Perhaps a bit "modern" for many tastes but easier when you're reselling, right ?
